Behind the method

Body proportions and the SizeHim method

From a historical idea to a modern hand-photo experience.

Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, a historical study of human proportions

Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man is a well-known exploration of human proportions. Modern researchers also study relationships between body measurements, while recognising variation between individuals.

SizeHim starts with a hand photo. A specially developed algorithm analyses hand proportions and uses a proprietary formula to generate a personalised result category. The calculation details remain private.

Independent studies provide background on body proportions. They do not validate SizeHim’s photo analysis, shape predictions or recommendations for women. Patterns in a group cannot determine every individual’s body or preferences.

The About page brings together the method, the two experiences and links to the research, so you can understand the idea before deciding to try it.

Research gives context. Individual bodies vary.
